FreeCAD Expert – CAD Engineering Specialist

We are looking for experienced FreeCAD professionals with strong knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modeling, and mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate should be comfortable creating, modifying, analyzing, and reviewing 3D models and technical drawings using FreeCAD.

Key Responsibilities

Create and modify 3D CAD models using FreeCAD.

Design mechanical components, assemblies, and product structures.

Develop accurate parametric models using FreeCAD's Part Design and Sketcher workbenches.

Create 2D technical drawings from 3D models.

Review CAD files for design accuracy, geometry, and dimensional consistency.

Work with STEP, IGES, STL, FCStd, and other common CAD file formats.

Identify and resolve modeling errors and geometry issues.

Document design workflows and explain technical decisions when required.

Required Skills

Strong practical experience with FreeCAD.

Proficiency in 3D modeling and parametric CAD design.

Knowledge of mechanical engineering and engineering drawing principles.

Experience with Part Design, Sketcher, Part, and Assembly workbenches.

Understanding of geometric constraints, dimensions, and tolerances.

Ability to work independently and deliver accurate CAD models.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or professional background in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.

Experience with complex mechanical assemblies.

Familiarity with Python scripting or FreeCAD automation.

Experience working with manufacturing-ready CAD designs.
